Fairy returns to the Curragh Snow Fairy has been confirmed a runner in the Group 1 Stobart Ireland Pretty Polly Stakes on the Saturday of Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby weekend. She won the Investec Oaks and Darley Irish Oaks last season, and trainer Ed Dunlop remarked: “This has been the plan for Snow Fairy for some time now, and it’s all systems go.” Another confirmed runner here is Misty For Me, while the Sir Henry Cecil-trained Midday is also under serious consideration for what promises to be a real classic. Misty For Me finished fifth behind Dancing Rain in the Epsom Oaks, and her trainer Aidan O’Brien has no fears about bringing his filly back in trip for Saturday week’s race. “She became unbalanced coming down the hill at Epsom,” commented the Ballydoyle maestro. “The drop in trip won’t be a problem for her and the Curragh will suit her much better.”
