Fairyhouse Hopeful Jade Will Run Sunday Fairyhouse racecourse manager Peter Roe expects Apple's Jade to run in the Bar One Racing Hatton's Grace Hurdle - rather than travel to England to take on Buveur D'Air in the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle. Gordon Elliott's mare ran in both races last season, going down narrowly in the Fighting Fifth to Irving before winning the Hatton's Grace a week later in a thrilling finish from Vroum Vroum Mag. With Elliott set to field a strong squad in all the Grade Ones on Sunday, Roe is hoping the possibility of a clean sweep will help persuade connections to keep Apple's Jade at home. He told the Irish Times: "I'm sure Michael (O'Leary) would prefer to win here and it looks likely Apple's Jade will come. "Gordon could have the big three favourites on Sunday with Death Duty (Drinmore Novice Chase) and Mengli Khan (Royal Bond Novice Hurdle) coming as well."
