Fairyhouse given new date The re-scheduled meeting at Fairyhouse on Thursday has been cancelled and will now take place on Wednesday December 8th. The track is covered in 6 inches of snow and with no prospect of a thaw the decision has been taken to cancel. Peter Roe, Acting Manager of Fairyhouse said: - “We have 6 inches of snow on the track and the forecast does not predict any immediate improvement. We hope there will be some let up over the weekend which will allow us to run this meeting next week. We understand the inconvenience for all involved from sponsors to trainers to race goers and I’d like thank everyone for their support. We will be monitoring the weather over the week and very much hope to see as many people as possible here next Wednesday for a fabulous day’s racing. We will also be racing here on December 11th as scheduled.” Admission to Fairyhouse on December 8th is Free. The safety limit will be 16 runners per race. Fresh Entries for this meeting will close by 12 noon on Thursday 2nd December with declarations to run to be made by 10am on Tuesday 7th December. However, the three Grade One races (The Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle, The Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice S’chase and The Bar One Racing Hatton’s Grace Hurdle) will revert to the original entry stage and fresh forfeits or supplementary entries for these three races must be made by 12 noon on Thursday 2nd December.
