Fairyhouse meeting next Wednesday cancelled The meeting scheduled for Fairyhouse next Wednesday has been cancelled with two of the races now switching to the card on Tuesday. Last Saturday’s fixture, which was cancelled, was moved to Tuesday, February 3rd. The decision has been taken to cancel the two chases on that card and move two hurdle races from Wednesday. Hamilton confirms rescheduling following persistent rain A post from Clerk of the Course Brian Hamilton said:- “Following the decision to cancel Saturday’s fixture at Fairyhouse, we’ve had another 51mm of rain at the track over the last few days. “With further rain forecast this week and to allow all stakeholders plan accordingly, we have made the early decision to cancel the two chase races on Tuesday’s card and to cancel the fixture due to take place on the inside track on Wednesday. “The mares maiden hurdle and the handicap hurdle, that were scheduled to be run on Wednesday, will now be moved to Tuesday to form a seven-race card. Details on a new date for Wednesday’s card will be issued by Horse Racing Ireland in due course.”
