Fairyhouse passed fit, Cork sprints in doubt

This weekend's Easter Festival at Fairyhouse got the go ahead this afternoon following an inspection of the course.

The course which was waterlogged earlier this week is now raceable, but with further adverse weather forecast over the coming days the situation will continue to be monitored. The current going is described as heavy.

The sprint track at Cork is currently unraceable and will be monitored over the next few days. The remainder of the flat track, hurdles and chase tracks are all described as heavy.

There are no sprint races due to be held at Cork on either Saturday or Sunday, but the first three races at the Mallow track on Monday are all scheduled to be run on that track.

There will be no stalls in operation for the 1m2f race at Cork on Sunday due to the condition of the ground. The situation regarding stalls for the four 1m races is being monitored.
