Fairyhouse passes inspection

Following an inspection of the course this morning, Fairyhouse has been passed fit for racing on Wednesday December 15.

The all-star card now features four Grade 1 races, with the John Durkan Memorial Chase being added to the Bar One Racing-sponsored Hattons Grace Hurdle, Drinmore Novice Chase and Royal Bond Novice Hurdle.

The O'Connell Group Hilly Way Chase (Grade 2) has also been switched from Cork to the Co. Meath track.

"We are monitoring the situation, but at the moment we are raceable," said acting racecourse manager Peter Roe.

"The forecast is giving us a bit of cold weather tomorrow evening, but at the moment it's all systems go." The going at Fairyhouse is currently soft.
