Prospects of racing at Fairyhouse tomorrow received a boost when the track was passed fit for racing this morning, although a further precautionary inspection will take place tomorrow morning at 7.30.

Clerk of the course Brian Hamilton gave an update saying, “There has been a further 5mm of rain overnight.

“I am pleased to report that the track is now fit for racing following the work of the track staff to remove the surface water and the ground is now heavy.

“Met Eireann have forecast a further 5-7mm of rain tonight.

“Due to the unfavourable forecast, we will hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30am tomorrow morning to determine if the fixture scheduled for tomorrow can go ahead.”
