Ger Lyons’ smart Juddmonte-filly Faiyum makes her seasonal reappearance today, with testing ground in her favour for the Curragh’s Group 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Park Express Stakes.

Successful in three of four career starts all last year, Faiyum routed her rivals to win Gowran’s Group 3 Denny Cordell Lanwades Stud Stakes on heavy ground last September.

The four-year-old faces nine rivals, including Aidan O’Brien’s Classic-entered Moments Of Joy, with trainer Lyons’ brother and assistant trainer Shane Lyons reporting “Faiyum is in good nick and is as fit as we can get her without a run. All our horses are only ready to start.

"She won't mind the ground, she was very impressive in Gowran and is a good filly. We are looking forward to her this season."
