Fallon Free To Ride At Curragh's Derby Meeting

Kieren Fallon will be free to ride at the Curragh's Budweiser Irish Derby meeting this weekend after his application to transfer part of a four-day ban was successful.

Fallon received the suspension for careless riding when landing the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot aboard Ad Valorem, and had been scheduled to be out of action from Saturday to next Tuesday.

However, Fallon is set to ride for Aidan O'Brien in the Audi Pretty Polly Stakes on Saturday and the Budweiser Irish Derby on Sunday, and was permitted to transfer part of his ban so as to ride at the weekend because of the Group One action.

He will now serve the four days between next Monday and Thursday (July 6).

Jamie Spencer enjoyed similar success after applying to reschedule one day of a four-day ban picked up for careless riding aboard Red Evie at last week's Royal meeting.

He is now free to ride on Sunday, and like Fallon, will serve his four days between next Monday and Thursday.
