Fallon and Peartree can win

Kieren Fallon can make it second time lucky on Peartree House at Epsom tomorrow evening.

Things did not go right for the former champion jockey when he teamed up with this habitual front-runner at the Surrey track on Vodafone Oaks day.

Well fancied for an extended one-mile handicap, his mount raced too freely in front and was a spent force two furlongs from home, eventually beating only one home.

Since then trainer David Nicholls has hit upon a change of plan for the gelding, dropping him in and delaying his challenge until the latter stages.

And the tactics worked to perfection last week at York, where he cruised through off a strong pace under Joe Fanning to land a competitive handicap.

Fallon gets back on board tomorrow when Peartree House looks primed for a follow-up.

He is favourably weighted in the Langley Vale Classified Stakes and the presence of front-runners Nigrasine and Russian Rhapsody in opposition should set the race up nicely for him.

Fallon and Nicholls can complete a double with Crystal Creek in the Electrical Contractors Association Centenary Handicap.

Crystal Creek ran a good race when second in an amateur riders` event at Hamilton last week but it would be no surprise to see his improving for professional assistance.

Frankie Dettori will be hard to beat on Naheef in the Nigel Morris `Many Happy Returns` EBF Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

His mount hails from the immensely powerful Godolphin two-year-old academy and need not be one of the yard`s leading lights to take this event first time out.

Goodenough Mover should benefit from a return to seven furlongs in the Tote Exacta Stakes at Leicester.

He barely stays a mile and was caught late on when second over that trip at Bath last Sunday.

The speed he showed to lead the field for a long way that day suggested he is in the form to take advantage of a return to a more appropriate trip.
