The 9/4 favourite Farout was a facile winner of the Thanks To All Frontline Workers Maiden Hurdle.

The grey gelding by Dark Angel tracked the leaders before coming through on the inner to lead after the third-last. He went right away from that point to win by 15 lengths from Son Of Hypnos (9/1).

Successful on the Flat in France, his new trainer Willie Mullins gave him a run in Grade Three company at Fairyhouse back in February where he ran respectably behind Teahupoo.

Winning rider Danny Mullins said: “It was a good performance and he learned plenty from Fairyhouse.

"I rode him in Fairyhouse and he just didn't jump that day but you'd forgive him because he was coming off the flat and it wasn't like he was a point-to-pointer.

"He stepped up nicely on that today and hopefully will be a nice one to look forward to and handled that ground well. Willie will have a chat with the owners and see what they want to do, but you'd imagine he'll be well able to win through the summer."
