Barry Connell and Sean Flanagan teamed up with Farrokh to win the Pickardstown Handicap Chase at Tramore.

Sent off 3/1f, the gelding chased leader Itsalonglongroad in the initial stages, before taking over in front with five to jump.

Strongly pressed approaching the penultimate fence, the seven-year-old stayed on well to post a four-and-a-half-length victory.

Barry Connell said: "He loved it around there. Two-miles on quick ground, that's him. That's a career high mark of 108, so he'll be out of that grade now. He's a summer horse and as long as the ground doesn't turn we'll keep him going over fences. I don't know whether he'll be up to the 120s or not but we'll see. He's after winning two and getting placed in two races this year so he seems to be improving a little bit."
