Fehily awaits injury news Noel Fehily will return to hospital next week for further assessment on the wrist injury he sustained in a fall at Newbury on Friday. Fehily was riding Rivaliste for Paul Nicholls in the sportingbet.com Handicap Chase at the Berkshire track when the pair came down at the sixth fence. He was initially thought to have broken his wrist and was taken to Ridgeway Hospital for treatment, but his agent Chris Broad has revealed that the problem may not be quite as bad as first feared. "I've spoken to Noel, he has been to the hospital today and has to go back at the beginning of next week, but he was a lot more upbeat," said Broad. "It might not be as bad as first feared. It is still quite swollen and the doctor has put a cast on, but it may be more swelling and bruising than an actual break. "The specialist has given quite an upbeat report, it's just difficult to assess as it is very swollen. They've not been able to X-ray it yet as when it is like this, it can give a false picture. "Noel will probably go back on Tuesday and they will take a look at it then, see how much movement he's got and take it from there. He's definitely feeling a lot happier about it."
