Fehily out for several months Jockey Noel Fehily expects to miss the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals having suffered a shoulder injury which will require surgery. After visiting specialist Geoff Graham in Cardiff on Monday, Fehily said "It's going to take some time to get right, and therefore I'll be pushed to make Cheltenham and Aintree." Fehily, fifth in the jockeys' championship with 56 winners, damaged the shoulder in a fall in October but was able to ride on with strapping to the limb. However, a fall at Cheltenham on Saturday further aggravated the problem.
