Fillies' Mile lined up for Avenue Gabriel Avenue Gabriel is poised to run in the Shadwell Fillies' Mile after her dramatic victory at the Curragh on Sunday. The Paul Deegan-trained filly came with a storming late run on the far rail to take the Listed Flame Of Tara Stakes by a neck. Avenue Gabriel is also in consideration for a trip to Longchamp on Arc weekend, but connections are leaning towards running her in the Newmarket Group One on September 27. James Kelly, racing manager for her owner, Lady O'Reilly, said: "She's a very exciting horse. "She's incredibly tough and banged up against that rail in great style. "She's in the Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp, but it's more than likely that she'll run in the Fillies' Mile in two weeks' time. "What with the ground and the way the Fillies' Mile is run, it will suit her more than the Marcel Boussac, which can often be run on bottomless ground and with no pace."
