Filly Found top Irish juvenile Aidan O'Brien's Found has been named the highest-rated Irish juvenile of 2014, the first time in 20 years that accolade has been awarded to a female. Found earned a rating of 117 on the back of her impressive success in the Group One Prix Marcel Boussac having previously run third to Cursory Glance (112) in the Moyglare Stud Stakes and beaten off stablemate and subsequent top-level winner Together Forever (110). Of the 50 juveniles rated 110 or higher in Europe, 15 were trained in Ireland. Belardo has been crowned Europe's champion two-year-old of 2014 - but his mark of 119 makes him the joint-lowest since ratings began in 1978. The Roger Varian-trained colt earned the distinction of being the best in what was seen as a moderate year in terms of figures and outstanding candidates for Classic honours when landing a surprise success in the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket in October. He was rated 1lb superior to the Charlie Appleby-trained Charming Thought, who pipped Richard Hannon's Ivawood (117) in the Middle Park Stakes. The Andrew Balding-trained Elm Park, winner of the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster, was given a rating of 117. Just behind him on 116 were three talented colts in National Stakes scorer Gleneagles, Chesham Stakes winner Richard Pankhurst and The Wow Signal, who landed the Prix Morny. Back on 117 is Cheveley Park Stakes winner Tiggy Wiggy, from the Hannon stable, who shared the spoils with Found as Europe's leading two-year-old filly.
