Point to point winner Miss Us O (3/1jf) got off the mark at the 13th attempt on the racecourse today, landing Kilbeggan's Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann Mullingar Car Draw Opportunity Handicap Hurdle for trainer Brian Hamilton and jockey Shane Fitzgerald.

The seven year old daughter of Beat Hollow was beaten by a head over course and distance on April 22 and today scored by four and a quarter lengths from Chief Seattle

Afterwards northerner Hamilton said “I'm delighted for her to get the win as she's a consistent wee mare and she keeps galloping away. She was always going to do that over three miles and 2m6f at Downpatrick (in May) was too short for her - she needs a genuine three miles.

“She might be better over a fence and might sneak by in one of those low grade handicaps over fences.”

He added “I'm delighted for Olivia (O'Reilly, owner) as she's stuck by her- she won a point-to-point at Loughanmore a couple of years ago but she didn't want to sell her.

“We'll tip away with her and see what comes up that is suitable. The 0-95s aren't easy to get into with balloting but she'll have a free pass (by winning) the next day.”
