Flash tries again He hasn't won since his two-year-old days but Flash McGahon in the words of his trainer John Oxx: "needs a bit of luck," which he bids for again in the Kia Sportage Handicap at 4.30 at Kempton today. Oxx has said in the past that his charge needs: "good fast ground" and Jamie Spencer will take the mount on the now six-year-old son of Namid for this six furlong 71 to 85 event. He won a listed race at Tipperary in 2006 and on his reappearance the following term he finished runner-up to no less a horse than Dandy Man. As a three-year-old Oxx predicted a bright future for the Dundalk Racing Club's sprinter saying he could be very good next year. However things haven't really gone as expected for Flash McGahon whose career tally stands at one from thirty nine. He had a spell with Dandy Nicholls in 2009 and in the early part of this year but he has been back with Oxx since the start of this campaign.
