There is a busy day of Flat action in store with an afternoon meeting on the polytrack at Dundalk (first race 2.10) before the attention turns to an evening card at Roscommon beginning at 5.30.

The Irish Stallion Farms EBF ‘Red God’ Handicap is the highlight at Dundalk and Ger Lyons will bid to add to an impressive record in this €50,000 event with last year’s winner Ides Of August trying to make it five victories in the space of nine years for the Glenburnie team.

Three-year-olds have a decent enough record in this extended ten-furlong race and recent Galway maiden winner Saraqael and the progressive Eighty Eight merit consideration.

Following over 6mm of rain overnight the going at Roscommon is now good to yielding, good in places, with the possibility of a further 2-3mm of rain today.

Title rivals Colin Keane and Billy Lee go head-to-head in a number of races with Keane now three ahead (68-65) following six winners in the space of just over 48 hours culminating with a treble at Tramore on Saturday evening.
