Flemenstar declared for Betfair Ascot Chase Flemenstar will face seven rivals in the Betfair Ascot Chase at the Berkshire track on Saturday. The Tony Curran-trained 11-year-old returned to Grade One-winning form over Christmas before chasing home Felix Yonger in the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown last month. It will be only his second trip to Britain after finishing third in the Melling Chase for former handler Peter Casey back in 2013. Silviniaco Conti will sport blinkers for the first time as he heads the home challenge for Paul Nicholls. The dual King George VI Chase winner has worn cheekpieces on his last seven outings but the Ditcheat handler has opted to employ blinkers as the 10-year-old drops back in trip to two miles and five furlongs. He is the sole runner for Nicholls after Vibrato Valtat was not declared, but Nicky Henderson will be double-handed with former Hennessy winner Triolo D'Alene and recent Doncaster scorer Ma Filleule. Johnny Farrelly's Amore Alato, the David Pipe-trained Dynaste, Philip Hobbs' Royal Regatta and Savello from the Dan Skelton yard complete the line-up for the Grade One event.
