It was a real family success for the Butler family when Florimund landed the Glen Of Aherlow Handicap Hurdle, trained by Michael Butler, ridden by his son Mikey and owned by his daugher Eileen.
A delighted Butler said afterwards: “We bought this lad at the horses in training sale, he came out of Sir Michael Stoute's yard.”
“He had a bit of a setback last year so we gave him a few runs on the flat to get him right. We have no immediate plans for him.”
