Irish trainers had a good day cross channel this afternoon with both Paul Flynn and Thomas McLaughlin registering wins.

Flynn saddled Limpopo Tom to win the 32 Bonus At 32Red.com Handicap Hurdle at Southwell.

The Noel Fehily ridden gelding was sent off at 6/1 and he tracked the leaders in third for much of the contest before he quickened to lead before the last, going on from there to score by three and a three parts of a length from the 6/5 favourite City Press in second.

The 6yo son of Saffron Walden was recording his second victory in the UK as he also won on the level at Wolverhampton back in December of 2011 however this was his first success under NH rules.

Meanwhile at Kempton this evening, Donegal trainer Thomas McLaughlin tasted success in the Kempton For Weddings Handicap with 16/1 shot Scary Movie.

The 8yo son of Daggers Dawn wasn’t beaten far on his last few starts and despite being slowly away he travelled well two furlongs out before he hit the front inside the final furlong and went away to score by a comfortable two and a half lengths under Adam Kirby.
