Navan’s featured €22,000 Navan Racing Festival Early Bird Handicap today will host six runners with trainer Paul Flynn hoping for a big display from his runner Little Queenie

Airspeed has been withdrawn from the six-furlongs contest and while Little Queenie hasn’t won since last August, the six-time winner has been running well and was a neck runner-up at today’s course in June.

Flynn reports "we tried to claim off her the last day with Nicola (Burns) and 100 per cent nothing went wrong, I just think Rob (Whearty) gets on with her.

"She is going to win sometime shortly. She wasn't beaten far the last day (fifth in Dundalk) and she stayed on well the last furlong. She likes to make the running and she didn't get to the front the last day.

"I'd be disappointed if she doesn't win."

Today’s seven-race meeting begins at 2.30pm.
