Flynn rolls the Dice, and wins!

Moon Dice landed a gamble (12/1 in the morning into 11/2 SP) when comfortably winning the Ladies Day 10th October Maiden Hurdle at Limerick today, prompting his trainer Paul Flynn to describe the winner as "the best horse I have".

Moon Dice, under a typically no-nonsense ride Mike Darcy ride, led entering the straight before running out the length and a three parts winner over Talab

Afterwards Flynn reported "I'm delighted for Moon Dice's owners as they like a bet -they're nuts!"

He added "every small thing that could have gone wrong went wrong with him but hopefully now he'll improve further from this."

Moon Dice was the subject of a running and riding inquiry when last seen in action, at Navan last December, finishing tenth of 29 runners in a maiden hurdle. His rider then, Mike Darcy, reported to the Stewards he felt "there would be a significant improvement from the gelding when he encounters better ground. "
