Fontwell inspect at 9.45 This afternoon's meeting at Fontwell is subject to a precautionary inspection at 9.45am. Clerk of the course Edward Arkell reports the track to be raceable at present but with temperatures currently below freezing , he feels it prudent to assess conditions later in the morning. He said: "We are down to minus 1.8C at the moment and obviously the coldest part of the day is as the sun starts to come up. The temperature is forecast to rise quite nicely and be 3C by 10.30am, but we wouldn't want those timings to slip too much. We are raceable and hopefully there should be no problems, but we felt it best to let people know where we are."
