Liverpool Find A Way Liverpool were second best in their 3-2 win over 10-man Newcastle United on Monday night, relying on 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha’s first Premier League goal to secure three points in the 100th minute. As the old cliche goes, winning ugly is a sign of champions and Liverpool will hope that is true come the end of the season, after their opening night 3-2 victory over Bournemouth also left plenty to be desired in defence. Arsenal should take a lot of hope from their opponent’s displays this season thus far, but we are still backing the home side to collect the vital three points. The Gunners looked blunt against a poor Manchester United side in their opening game and their 5-0 win over Leeds United last weekend will have little impact on Sunday afternoon. Their recent form at Anfield is more pertinent and Mikel Arteta has never won at Anfield as Arsenal boss. He heads to Merseyside this weekend without Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, while skipper Martin Odegaard is also a doubt. While that harms their chances of winning the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke should be able to net against a side who have conceded twice in both of their games so far. Liverpool vs Arsenal Tip 1: Liverpool to win and both teams to score @ 14/5 with BOYLE Sports Ekitikie Taken At Ease With all the talk of Alexander Isak’s possible move to Liverpool, Hugo Ekitike has quietly adapted to life in the Premier League with no difficulty. The 22-year-old has scored in all three of his competitive appearances for his new side, including in the defeat to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield. He has all the hallmarks of an excellent finisher with his three goals coming from just four shots on target. That is a big contrast to former Liverpool number nine Darwin Nunez and will need to display that clinical edge against an Arsenal side yet to concede this season. Liverpool vs Arsenal Tip 2: Hugo Ekitike to score anytime @ 7/4 with BOYLE Sports Konate The Culprit For our final tip, we have combined three selections to create a 6/1 bet builder, starting with over 2.5 goals. There have been 11 goals in Liverpool’s opening two Premier League games and six in Arsenal’s while there have been over 2.5 goals in the last three meetings of these two sides. Despite Arsenal’s prowess for scoring from set-pieces, they have failed to accumulate corners this season, winning just four from their first two matches, so they are unlikely to better that tally away to the champions. Finally, we are backing Ibrahima Konate to be booked in the game, as he was at St. James’ Park on Monday. The France international has looked shaky in the early stages of the campaign and there will be fewer tougher tasks than against the physical Viktor Gyokeres so expect him to go in the referee’s book on Sunday. Liverpool vs Arsenal Tip 3: Over 2.5 goals, Under 5.5 Arsenal Corners and Ibrahima Konate to be carded @ 6/1 with BOYLE Sports Odds courtesy of BOYLE Sports and correct at the time of publish
