New signing Hugo Ekitike scored the opening goal last week and Liverpool’s frontline should have enough to get the job done at St. James’ Park, as they have done in three of their previous four visits to the north east. Bournemouth showed that Liverpool’s defence can be exposed but it is obvious why Newcastle may struggle to do that. Winger Anthony Gordon led the line against Aston Villa admirably but the lack of cutting edge is evident without Isak so the visitors should pick up all three points on Monday. Eyebrows were raised by that transfer but the 23-year-old has massively impressed for Arne Slot’s side so far. After scoring on his debut in the Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace, he followed it up with a goal on his Premier League debut against the Cherries. Both goals showed the instincts of a clinical finisher, and while there are plenty of goalscoring options for Liverpool, Ekitike is the most attractive at 13/8, given his attributes.
