The Adrian Murray-trained Kodi Red proved too hot to handle for his rivals in the five-furlong winners race at Cork.

Seamie Heffernan was soon in front on the Kodi Bear colt and asked his mount to kick a few lengths clear over a furlong from home.

The 9/4 shot was always holding Borletti in the closing stages as that rival stayed on to get within half a length.

Kodi Red was following up on a maiden win at Navan just under two weeks ago.

"He is an improving horse and has improved from every run. Seamie said he never had a worry and was a winner all the way,” said Murray.

"He is a lovely horse, Seamie loves him and we're not sure where we go next but he is for sale."
