Trainer Sam Curling has announced that the 2023 Kim Muir winner Angels Dawn has been retired from racing.

A three-time winner for the County Tipperary trainer, the mare followed that festival triumph with a highly creditable sixth in the Irish Grand National on her next start.

Returning to defend her crown a year later, the daughter of Yeats was challenging subsequent Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin when falling two from home.

Winner of both point-to-point starts the following winter, Angels Dawn had her final start on the racecourse when ninth in the Hunters' Chase at the festival in March.
