Fortune back tomorrow

Jimmy Fortune will be back in action with five rides tomorrow after escaping serious injury in a fall at Folkestone on Monday.

He rides Imoya for Brian Meehan, Sixty Seconds for John Gosden, Khayyam for Paul Cole and Zibeline for Rod Millman at Newbury before heading to Newmarket`s evening meeting where he partners Mist Of Time for Gosden.

Fortune was kicked in the face and groin after falling from Cole`s Welenska and was later taken to hospital for precautionary X-rays.

His agent Tony Hind said today: 'He`s felt better for two days and he could have come back yesterday but he decided to give it a miss.

'He could have ridden today but he couldn`t get his boot on because his leg had swollen up so much.

'He`s got a right shiner but he`s as tough as old nails. They don`t come much tougher than Jimmy Fortune.'
