Foveros followed up a recent Galway festival win with another success at the venue today, as the Willie Mullins trained gelding landed the Annesley Williams Rated Novice Hurdle under stable jockey Paul Townend.

The son of Authorised beat stablemate Little Nugget to win at the summer festival on August 1 and today beat another stablemate Quartz Du Rheu when scoring a two and three parts of a length success.

Afterwards Townend stated “he is not a big horse but he doesn't know that and he has an engine. It got messy enough without the hurdles and he ran keenly enough in places but his jumping has improved very day for what little of it we had today. I'd have been kicking myself if I'd have been beaten for producing him as early as I did.

“He is tough and is gutsy and the ground on the hurdle course is only yielding to me today and he handles slower ground.

“You'd hope he'd make graded standard and is doing everything right and seems to be getting better with every run.”
