Fox has Cesarewitch options Swamp Fox is set to revert to the Flat for either the Irish Cesarewitch at Navan or the Betfred Cesarewitch at Newmarket next month. The versatile five-year-old won successive races over hurdles at Ballinrobe and Killarney earlier in the year to tee him up for the Galway Festival. He ran two fantastic races in defeat at Ballybrit, filling the runner-up spot in the Connacht Hotel (Q.R.) Handicap before going down by just a neck to Tigris River in the Galway Hurdle. Joe Murphy's charge could only finish fourth in another valuable handicap hurdle at Listowel on his latest appearance and Murphy is looking forward to seeing him back on the level. "He ran well enough in Listowel, he just couldn't give the weight away on the day," said Murphy. "He's come back fine and the plan is to run him in either the Irish Cesarewitch or the English Cesarewitch the following week next."
