Frankel's half-brother Morpheus makes his racecourse debut at Nottingham on Wednesday.

A son of Oasis Dream, rather than Frankel's sire Galileo, the two-year-old has been catching the eye of workwatchers on the Newmarket gallops.

In training with Sir Henry Cecil, like his elder sibling, and also owned by Khalid Abdullah, his connections are under no illusions as to the prospect of having another wonder horse on their hands.

Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe told At The Races: "He's been declared for Nottingham. He's a nice, promising colt, no question about that.

"But they're different types of horse. They look different. He's not quite as robust - a racier type, if you like, although having said that there isn't much racier than Frankel.

"Is he going to be Frankel? I hope so but it's unlikely."
