Freescape is well versed in travelling and is set to make the trip to Newcastle's valuable Good Friday fixture for the third year in a row.

Connections raised the possibility of a crack at the Winter Derby in Southwell after he delivered at Dundalk in December, however, a further three runs on the Polytrack that yielded a runner-up spot and a pair of third place finishes have led to Newcastle again.

Trainer David Marnane said: "He goes to Newcastle in two weeks for the Good Friday meeting.

"That was the plan pretty much all along.

"He has been brilliant since finishing second here over a mile and that was his prep. He is stepping back up to his normal trip over 1m2f/1m3f.

"We are hopeful."

Freescape has won seven races for Marnane, all in Dundalk. He has also regularly picked up prize money on frequent trips to Meydan in Dubai.
