French aces at Ascot

Top French jockeys Olivier Peslier and Gerald Mosse are set to be in action at Royal Ascot all next week.

Peslier, who is in tremendous form and had 12 winners in France last week, is set to partner the two horses who occupied the runner-up spots in the French Guineas at Longchamp last month.

He rides Banks Hill, second to Rose Gypsy in the Poule d`Essai des Pouliches, for his boss Andre Fabre in the Coronation Stakes on Friday.

And he will also ride Vahormix, second to Noverre in the Poule d`Essai des Poulains, for the same trainer in the St James`s Palace Stakes on the opening day and is likely to partner representatives from the Lucayan Stud in other races during the meeting.

Mosse resumes his partnership with the classy Hightori, third in the Dubai World Cup and a short-head second to Observatory in the Prix d`Ispahan this season, who runs in the Prince of Wales`s Stakes.

Philip Robinson, with two Classic successes under his belt already this year, kicks off next week riding Ela Athena in the Group One Gran Premio di Milano on Sunday and is hoping that the Michael Jarvis team continue in their fine vein of form at Ascot.
