French import Lureka Du Noyer (morning 5/1, show 9/4 to 1/1f) was the heavily supported winner of Limerick’s opening Daredevil Events Adrenaline Maiden Hurdle today, scoring for owners Pimlico Racing, jockey Darragh O’Keeffe and trainer Henry De Bromhead.

The five-year-old had competed ten times in his native France, including six times in chases, and today made much of the running before scoring readily by 5.5 lengths from Game Point .

O’Keeffe commented “Lureka Du Noyer had plenty of running done in France and watching him at home, he seemed to very straightforward and he his schooling was good. We said we'd jump out upsides and to make the running if nobody wanted to make it.

"He jumped really well and when I got stuck in to him, he kept going well to the line, so it was a good performance. It is a lovely way for him to start off for us and is lovely for the syndicate."
