Frisco Lad makes all for debut bumper success The INPBA Supporting Irish Racing Flat Race (In Memory Of Jerry McDonnell) was the finale at Limerick and Henry de Bromhead's newcomer Frisco Lad (9/4 joint-favourite, from 6s this morning) made all in the two-mile contest. John Gleeson set steady early fractions aboard the winner who responded well to pressure in the home straight to score by four and a-quarter lengths from Mountain Sky. Breeder Michael O'Shaughnessy, who is part of the A Walk In The Park Syndicate, said "I live in San Francisco and am home for another ten days before flying back. This is brilliant to get and is my first winner. "Everyone has been great including Tom Busteed who broke him and Henry did a great job as well.  "I've had horses throughout the years and raced this horse's dam but she never got her nose in front, although I kept her for breeding. "I'm from Coachford in Cork and my brother John was previously involved in horses as a trainer. I rode out myself for Gerry Cully many years ago, when I was a bit smaller!"
