Day 6 at Listowel is Ladies Day, traditionally one of the biggest crowds of the seven day Festival, but officials are currently looking to the sky in hope as the action is in some doubt following further rain.

Another 3mm of rain fell at the track overnight and, with more light rain this morning, the situation is currently being monitored.

The track is raceable at present, with the ground described as heavy, and an eight race mixed card featuring the 1m1f Guinness Handicap is scheduled to get underway at 1.55pm.

Gowran Park report no such problems ahead of their meeting on Sunday. The going is currently good (good to soft in places) on the Flat track and good for National Hunt racing.

The weather forecast is dry today and tomorrow, with some rain expected on Sunday.

The going is currently soft at Ballinrobe, where racing takes place on Monday. Fairyhouse also takes place that afternoon and the going is yielding (soft in places) after 6mm of rain overnight.
