Futur bright for Lynch's charge Trainer Andrew Lynch was pleased with Futuramic's fast-finishing effort in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas. Making just his fifth start over fences, the nine-year-old was a 50-1 outsider for the fiercely competitive handicap, but outran his odds in finishing eighth. Lynch expects his charge to learn from the experience and is looking forward to the rest of his campaign. "It was his first handicap and they caught him out when they quickened up down the back. He lost valuable lengths as a result but he flew home," said the trainer. "There is a handicap for him in February. "You can't run him too quick as he is big, heavy type of horse." Lynch also provided an update on Jarob, who has been off the track since completing a hat-trick at Punchestown in October. He said: "Jarob was just back in a week before Christmas but he has to wait for the ground to get better."
