GODOLPHIN PLOT GOODWOOD CELEBRATION Godolphin will be doubly-represented in tomorrow`s Group Two Celebration Mile as they bid to land the #80,000 event for the third time in five years. Both French and Irish 2000 Guineas winner Bachir and Pacino will take their place in the seven-runner field. Bachir will be partnered by Frankie Dettori, who rides at the course for the first time since he was injured in a plane crash en route to Goodwood on June 1st, with Richard Hills on Pacino. The Italian`s mount has been off the track since disappointing at Royal Ascot in June. One horse who did not disappoint at Royal Ascot was Jersey Stakes winner Observatory, and John Gosden`s progressive charge could go off as the favourite. Medicean, twice third in Group One events this season, is another live contender with Irish 2000 Guineas runner-up Cape Town, Sir Mark Prescott`s Sarafan and the Mick Channon-trained Sagitta 1000 Guineas fourth Seazun completing the line-up. Six horses go to post for the Listed Sport on 5 March Stakes. Rothmans Royals St Leger entries Going Global and Kuwait Trooper will bid to cement their claims for the final Classic of the season. Taufan`s Melody, the globe-trotting 1998 Caulfield Cup winner, could give his younger rivals most to do.
