In A Sonnet rewarded good support in the bumper at Sligo with a four-length success for Willie Mullins.

From an opening 7/4, the Gigginstown House Stud representative was punted down to 11/10 favourite.

Patrick Mullins brought him to challenge Bravewave inside the final quarter of a-mile and the favourite led narrowly straightening for home.

Bravewave (7/1) cracked in the closing stages as In A Sonnet went on to score with Patrick Mullins in the plate. Seven Towers (4/1) made last gains in third.

Jockey Mullins said: "He disappointed on very soft ground at Navan (fourth). He's a good-ground horse, and he showed a good attitude there.

"He jumps well at home, and I could see him going out in trip in time."
