Trainer 'Shark' Hanlon has confirmed that Jordan Gainford will partner Hewick in the E200,000 Guinness Kerry National at Listowel next Wednesday week.

The Wexford native was on board when the rapidly improving seven-year-old recorded a famous win in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown in April and the pair shone again on another big stage when taking the Tote Galway Plate six weeks ago.

Hewick is now rated 163 and has been allotted topweight of 11st 12lbs in the Harvest festival highlight.

Hanlon, who previously won the Guinness Kerry National with Alfa Beat in 2011, said: "Gordon (Elliott) has been in touch with me and has kindly released Jordan for the race so he'll ride the horse again. He obviously gets a great tune out of him and I'm delighted that he's available. The horse is in great form and we're looking forward to it."
