The attendance at Ballybrit today for Galway Plate Day was 14,038 as opposed to 18,145 a year ago.

On the Tote, the aggregate was 676,025 Euros whilst the figure in 2012 was 930,473 Euros.

In the ring the bookmakers handled 1,015,385 Euros whilst that was understandably well back from the amount twelve months ago given the weather. The 2012 amount was 1,507,486 Euros.
