The ground continues to improve at Galway where the going is currently described as yielding to soft on the hurdle and bumper track, and soft on the chase track.

Clerk of the Course Lorcan Wyer said, "We missed the showers that were forecast for this morning, and we have had just 0.5mm of rain since racing yesterday.

"We have fresh ground today, it is a fine drying day and the going is steadily improving. It is still quite testing on some parts of the chase track but hopefully the weather should stay fine for the remainder of the day."

The going for yesterday's jumping card at Ballybrit was soft (heavy in places).

Tom Doyle will miss the action today as he is stiff and sore following a fall at Galway yesterday from Moncherie in the Colm Quinn BMW Handicap Chase.
