Game Point lands Listowel feature for Ray Cody The Ray Cody trained Game Point made virtually all under Sam Ewing to win the featured Listowel Races Supporters Club Lartigue Hurdle (Handicap) In Memory Of John Molyneaux (Listed Race) at Listowel. In front approaching the first flight, the Ballygallon Stud (Ireland) Limited owned four-year-old made the rest of the running. Pushed along after three out, the 10/1 chance was strongly pressed entering the straight but found plenty from the penultimate flight, keeping on strongly to beat Ben Hur by two-and-a-quarter lengths. Ray Cody said: "My nephew Paddy Cody rode him to win in a common canter the last day but couldn't do the weight today. He had a lovely low weight today but I told Sam (Ewing) to keep a squeeze on him today as she can be lairy. "Sam said he was lairy the whole way around but I knew it would take a fair horse to go by him. He is well able to jump but when he doesn't concentrate, he can be sloppy. "He has a big engine, is a very good horse and going forwards, hopefully he'll be a graded horse. He has the ability but getting him out of it is the thing. "In the past, I've only ran three horses in this race and had previously won it with Razoul (in 2019). That was also for Ballygallon Stud so again many thanks to them for giving me this one."
