Gazelle D'or bidding for a healthy cheque in Flying Five Michael Grassick is eyeing prize money for Gazelle D'or on her step up in class in the €400,000 Group 1 Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. The four-year-old filly is a five-time winner including twice over the five-furlong trip in the Curragh, and has had a solid year without visiting the winner's enclosure. Arguably the pick of her results in this campaign was a runner-up spot behind Mission Central in the Listed Sole Power Sprint Stakes at Naas in May. The winner franked the form with victory in the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot. Grassick said: "We are stepping her up. She probably needed the run (fourth, Cork), she hadn't run for three months the time before, so we would expect a big improvement which you would need. "If you go back to her Naas run behind Mission Central, he doesn't beat her too far and he got first run on her. We think that doesn't put her too far away if he is there or thereabouts. "Running into the money would be (a good result) - if we got into the first five or six, it would be a realistic target. "This was the plan to have a crack at it on 'home' turf, she likes the Curragh."
