Gentlemansgame completed a double at Thurles for trainer Mouse Morris and owners Robcour with a convincing victory under Rachael Blackmore in the Carey Glass Hurdle.

The grey gelding has kept very good company since a runaway win on his debut under rules in a Cork maiden hurdle and appreciated this drop in class going off the well-backed 11/8 favourite.

The Champion Hurdle and Gold Cup winning rider elected to make virtually all on the Gentlewave gelding who took control from the penultimate flight and galloped on strongly to score by eight and a half lengths. Unexpected Depth could make no impression in the straight, while Crosshill was a further 15 lengths away in third.

Morris said, ""It's like buses! The horse was on song today and loves that ground. I'm just waiting to go over fences with him. He got injured for a while but is straightforward and his hurdles form was savage.

"I've no great plans for him until he goes over fences.

"Rachael rode this horse to win his maiden hurdle at Cork and Darragh (O'Keeffe) rides French Dynamite - I wouldn't complain about either!"

Morris and Robcour were also on the mark earlier with French Dynamite in the Grade 3 Pierce Molony Memorial Novice Chase.
