Geoghegan/Griffin score at Killarney Christopher Geoghegan put in good performance when getting up in the closing stages to land The Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap aboard the Eoin Griffin trained Summerlea. Winning trainer Griffin said afterwards, "My gut told me we had it, but I didn't want to call it. I'm delighted the horse won especially for the owner Mark Taylor as he unwell at the moment and hopefully this will give him a boost. The better ground and the blinkers definitely helped, he's still a bit green but hopefully we'll be able to pick up another one or two with him."
