Geraghty excited by Nearly Nama'd Barry Geraghty hopes there is even more to come from weekend winner Nearly Nama'd. Having won a decent race at Fairyhouse in November, Sandra Hughes' inmate took his form to a new level in the Dan Moore Memorial on Sunday, defying a 7lb rise. Geraghty told www.attheraces.com: "I won the Dan Moore Memorial Chase in 2008 on Schindlers Hunt for the late Dessie Hughes, so it was great to win it on Sunday at Fairyhouse on Nearly Nama'd for Dessie's daughter, Sandra." He went on: "Sandra has done a fantastic job with Nearly Nama'd. "I had ridden him just once before, in a handicap chase at the 2014 Galway Festival, and he is twice the horse he was then. "He had put up a good performance to win a handicap chase over Sunday's course and distance in November, so that gave him a real chance on Sunday even off a 7lb higher mark, and he did it well. "He loved the testing conditions, it was hard work, but he travelled well in the ground and he was game. I'd say those conditions would not be every horse's cup of tea, but he relished them. "The form might be a little bit questionable, the runner-up Mozoltov had run poorly at Cheltenham in December on his debut this season, and the third horse, Guitar Pete, who is also trained by Sandra, isn't the horse that he promised to be when he was a juvenile hurdler, a dual Grade One winner. "That said, Nearly Nama'd did it well, he has progressed and hopefully he can progress again."
