Getaway Queen gained her second successive win at Dundalk today as the Ken Budds trained mare landed the Leading Jockey&Trainer Championship Handicap under jockey Conor Hoban.

The five year old daughter of Getaway was officially rated just 38 when winning her first career race from the basement rating of 45 at the Co Louth venue on November 20 and today maintained progression to win from 55 when beating Monsieur Piquer by a length and three parts.

Hoban later reported “that was very good. She's a typical filly when they get their head in front they get plenty of confidence.

“I thought she might have improved again from the last day and it was a good performance.

“She travelled well and got a lovely run around. She did it well again.

“The handicapper gave her 10lb the last day so hopefully he's not too hard on her and she might win another one.”
